Florida does not allow a CSR to receive commission, must be an agent. You can pay a bonus just don't call it commission, and no charge backs. Salaries vary greatly in Florida and I am sure the rest of the country based on the agency size and duties of the staff person. We average about $15 an hour f...

We use DORIS (applied) agency management system and a Document managment product called Docubase. It integrates directly into most agency managment vendors. It is the best investment we have ever made, you can make this program do what ever you want and store ANY type of format. We have a VOIP phone...

Who do you think is to blame for your situation, did the YP company fail to deliver enough books, was the ad not printed as you approved, or did your X- partner make a bad decision. I have had plenty of experience with YP vendors and none have been pretty. The one thing I learned the first time I me...

Well, the posts say enough, you seem to have enough legal knowledge to lead some to believe that you may be an attorney or have paralegal training. I don't think so. I think you have done enough research to figure out any way out that may be available. The truth appears to be that you screwed up and...

:D I remember the story about John Glenn being belted into the module at the top of a Saturn 5 rocket, he looked around and said "it is not very comforting to know that all this high tech equipment was built by the lowest bidder. The old saying of "you get what you pay for" could neve...

I find it amazing that this public forum (meaning more than agents view it) can have licensed professionals that see no problem titling a post what this newbie decided to use. Not exactly what I would want my customers to see me doing. We have enough bad press in this industry, lets not make it worse.

You need to give a whole lot of additional information, What State are you looking to do this? what lines are you looking to sell, personal & commercial? Would it be possible for you to buy an existing book of business? this would make it a lot easier to capture markets and have an income from t...

<_< In my opinion, Loudmouth is giving both bad and good information, I disagree about the associations being of little help, it may vary by state or territory, but The Florida PIA can quote just about any carrier that you can get. I say this because you need to join and pay dues to an association, ...

 should have just answered yes I hope you don't mean that you would have given false or misleading or made-up information on an insurance application. I can only assume that this carrier is wanting to know if the pipes have been replaced in this building. Repla...

I would call another agent and see if they can help you, It is really absurd to believe that you would get more than one quote but none were really willing to insure you. It is possible that the agent has no markets available and was shooting from the hip only to find out he was low balling the rate...

Depending on where you are there should be no problem insuring the ring, check with your current insurance agent and if they are not able to help, check around, most independent insurance agents represent several companies and can even offer stand alone coverage for just the ring if needed.

Some Homeowners insurance companies will allow you to add what is called scheduled personal property onto your homeowners policy. Not all companies will. In any event you will most likely need a copy of a recent appraisal or bill of sale from the jewelry you purchased it from. If you got a really go...

So far I have seen a few commercials that don't really appeal to me, but they may to some people, I have also seen numerous billboards that have a green and white appearance and say something about drive, relax, repeat, or getting your car fixed shouldnt be as stressful as the accident. neither bill...

The simple fact here is that there is no standard job description for a producer or a CSR, it is based on what the agency decides or what the EMPLOYEE negotiates. Notice that I said EMPLOYEE, they have a boss to report to and answer to when they do not produce or fail to perform according to the gui...

Cheryl, It sounds like you may have some valid points, this first is that you work for an agency owner that has decided he is not an active producer if he is gone on vacation most of the time. That is his choice as the boss. Have you approached him about your concerns and has he offered any options?...
