Call Call Call and then call again.

I have been in the P&C industry for close to 15 years. The best solution to get the ball rolling is cold calls, and when your done with that do more cold calls. The truth is getting business is no different than insurance. It's all numbers and statistics. X amount of calls = X amount of appointm...

Re: By the way!!

Slim our splits our 60% new and 50% renewal. Must be personal lines with all of it going into service centers. I don't see how the agency could afford that split for commercial lines. Actually we write 100% commercial lines. There are certain ways we have structured our company "LEGALL...

RESPONSE TO WLUNDAY

Name one.......... I am curious. some markets barely pay that I would be intersted to see how they are able to offer that and stay in business. In addition, we would cover his E&O, files, policy issuance etc... Anyone paying 9% to a non partner would have no advantage to the relationship, we too...

Who's selling the house?

How are you covering your clients on a professional liability basis. None of these policies extend out to cover them for their professional liability. If they don't want it get something to cover your but that you offered it.

Who cares at least they're being frickin responsible unlike most of them. Remember at one point your parents were all illegal immigrants. Unless your American Indian. No offense I would rather sell to an illegal immigrant than a legal resident looking to commit fraud.

The premium is competitive.

If the CNA E&O policy is extending out to cover them for the sale of condos they built and constructed, I really doubt it, I would like to see the policy actually, then the premium is very competitive. Whats the Deductible? Is the policy through Victor O Schinnerer? I'm wondering if they are cov...

Have you read the E&O portion?

I write E&O Insurance for a living in the Real Estate related industries. I am shocked that the CNA E&O policy extends out to claims related to construction. I would double check this if I were you or send the underwriter an email and get an answer in writing. I work with CNA all the time an...

Work for a Brokerage

Forget being captive! The more companies you have to offer the better chances of getting business and retaining it. If you only have one carrier to povide and someone doesn't fit into the parameters, guess what, good bye client!

I just made a reply post a couple days ago on this

A couple days ago there was a post fr4om an agent who moved from one company and asked if and how he should go after his old clients. There were a lot of response regarding ethics but my number one question was "Do they trust you?" I think my example was a Ford dealership. If you went into...

Reply to Non Compete in CA

I went through the litgation for this myself. You cannot take away one's livelyhood. Usually non solicitation is outlined in the non compete clause among other things. The only way a non compete will hold up TRULY, is if you were a shareholder in the company and that company was then sold. Or If you...

Non compete clauses are not legal in all states.

First off, check and see if you have a non compete clause in your previous employers agreement and if there is, see if it has a timeline outlined in it. If there is, then check with your state or an attorney on the legalities of non compete clauses in your state. Some states make non competes illega...
