Re: Denny's Restaurant (24hr)

Hey MLS. Why not Allied? I have an appointmnet with Allied and just curious why you choose not to use them.

Re: Personal Lines and LLC's

I want to offer some praise for Kris from Anderson and Murison. She was able to work through all of the issues and not only get me an Admitted market quote, but it was VERY reasonably priced.
Great job!

Re: Personal Lines and LLC's

Thanks, GregCW. The home is with a non-admitted due to the brush. They do not write Umbrellas. The auto is with Travelers who require the HO to write an Umbrella. They will not write the HO due to brush. The RV problem is that a few exceed 80mph and most Umbrella Companies will not allow over 40 or ...

Re: Personal Lines and LLC's

Thanks, WLUNDAY. I have gone to two marine GA's and both have declined. One was due to the LLC's and the other has restrictions on the waters navigated which will not work for our insured. I just found a Company (Hudson) that is providing a quote. However, if there are any more suggestions out there...

Re: Personal Lines and LLC's

Thanks, Again, Lucky One. Unfortunatley, I have submitted to both. AIG will not due to speed of some jet skis (80 MPH) and Lex will not do because too many watercraft.
This is a tough one.

Re: Personal Lines and LLC's

Thanks, Lucky Guy. However, the home is on the coast, in a wooded canyon in Malibu. Chubb will not write the HO, and they require the HO to write the Umbrella.
Any other thoughts?

Personal Lines and LLC's

I have a wealthy Doctor that has watercraft (yachts, cigarette boats, jet skis, etc.) that are owned by the insured's single entity LLC. I am able to insure them on the underlying policies by having the Doctor as the named Insured and adding the LLC's as AI's. That works fine for the underlying, but...

Re: Research

Just read your other posting on this site regarding your experience. As an Underwriter, did you never see an Acord application?

Re: Research

Kent, I have some bad news for you. Acord is not an Insurance Company, rather they are a Company that provides standard insurance applications that has most, if not all of the information Companies need to provide a quote. You will become very familiar with the Acord applications in the years to com...

Re: Damage to "Your work" exclusion on CGL policy

As I have understood the exclusion, the GC's "work" would not be covered, but the damage that it did would. For example, if a plumber installs a pipe in your wall, and after the wall is closed up a small leak developes and damages the drywall, insulation etc., the damage property, (drywall...

Are you referring to activites related to the workplace, or are you speaking of what a person does at home on his/her own time? If it is the latter, then I believe that business should stay out of a person's private life unless that lifestyle dramatically impacts their performance at work. In other ...

For the pre-license course, do a class. It will be helpful to be involved in discussions relating to others questions, etc.
Regarding the CE courses, I find that a old fashion book (not on-line) works best for me as I can come and go back to it any time and any where.

Progressive, Foremeost, Unitrin all have very good boat programs in CA. Not sure if the type of boat is acceptable, but this is where I would start.

I used Superior Access in the past and found that service was spotty at best. Also, I found that the fee charged was higher than what others charge, i.e. NIA in Grass Valley (service also spotty).
