Re: Mobile home on acreage

Tell this great client you deserve an annual fee on top of any commission you're getting, and best of l...

Lizzy B - you are (you're) welcome for the GRAMMAR lesson. While I may accept the charge of being brazen, the label "repetative" eludes me --- sorry. We all thank you for the groundbreaking concept of agents serving as more than just as salespeople . (there may be a book deal in it for you...

can't we all get along? Never mind....

Lighten up ElizabethB - NO - he neither suggested nor implied that agents are useless! He offered an observation and a question, and you inferred a slight that suggests you may have issues with underwriters . Please note the use of the word MAY ; what you DO have an issue with is the proper use of c...

Cooper 009's final take away

Be careful asking professionals for their honest feedback, as you may get just what you asked for.

Either buy back the rights to the accounts you've already been paid for, or honor your contract and leave them alone.

who do you represent?

Missing from this ethics lesson, Scott, is whether we are acting as a broker or an agent. While this response seems pretty black and white, the answers should follow: brokers should present the 45k offer; agents the 50K offer, as each has a duty to place a different party's interests first. If you a...

Claims on residential property owned by trusts, LLCs, etc

Interested in learning from anyone who has had a client who transferred ownership of a home to a trust, LLC, etc. , later experienced a claim, and failed to make the carrier aware of the change in ownership of the home. Especially interested in any claims denials rejecting coverage because the trust...

Out of State agents

ADVISOR - I don't entirely disagree with your points re: the pitfalls of non resident agents selling coverage in your state. I would observe that since your state finally increased your building codes post Andrew, the carriers who do offer coverage are quite able to identify what risks are or are no...

there are many candidates

tnt - your request is an easy one for someone with good insurance industry connections. My inference is that you may be in need of an insurance industry insider to direct you. If so - it is my observation that you seek the services of a "Private Client" oriented insurance broker. There are...
