Lauren,
Essentially the same thing. He did not specify if this was construction of a new building or renovation of an existing structure. I presumed it was new building construction from ground up.

A proper builder's risk policy should cover the cabinets from the time they are loaded for transit to the jobsite (assuming the transit limit is sufficient) and until the building receives it approval for occupancy. While they are at the cabinet makers premises they should be covered by the business...

You will be asking those "stupid new agent questions" for the rest of your insurance career. Go work for a broker otherwise you will not learn the mechanism of insurance sales and service. It takes a true insurance professional to turn leads into well placed accounts. You are not selling h...

First I concur with all but Alal. Alal, I come here to give something back to those who want to learn and strive to be successful in this business. We are not angry, cheap nor elite. I do play with the big boys...always have and was fortunate to get into the business in that arena. You are the one t...

Porter you are being stubborn and long winded and are not taking the advice of those who have been there and know. You think you know but you do not know what this business is about. Until you do it for a living, learn it, and are competent only then you can call yourself an agent. I have been doing...

You are correct we are tired of trying to capsulate the business of insurance for "you new to the business". There is no way you are going to get what is necessary unless you "learn the business". This takes hard work and dedication to learning. In my opinion you need to work for...

No thanks, I am not interested as I said I do not think they could afford the premium if you could get a quote so the work would be for nothing. What this client thinks about many touring groups going to Egypt is one thing. There is the perception and then there is the reality. I work on facts. I co...

I do not think this start up tour company can afford the cost of the premium to provide tours to a Middle East country. Americans going to any of these countries are a target for kidnapping, ransom, and a host of other exposures (WC, CGL, Auto) including death. Perhaps ACE could quote a foreign pack...

Based on what little information you provided and the fact that you cannot write coherently I would suggest you find another area of business because you will not make it. You have no insurance experience, no experitise, no credentials in insurance, risk management, underwriting etc. Sorry to be blu...

I am always astounded at how stupid some insured's can be. You advised your client correctly. If the table gets turned and he has a claim nasty claim presented during his "gap" just who will be the bad guy....you. I am in post Katrina New Orleans and can truthfully tell you we have several...

In my experience (since 1976) there is a huge difference between agencies that do mostly commercial and those that do mostly personal lines. Those bigger agencies that do mainly commercial generally know the value of their people and pay and treat them well. I have found that not to be the case with...
