IPIS is great, particularly for Patent, but you can get a Media Liability policy done much more easily with a Media Liability carrier such us Media Professional or Chubb. As long as the Insured doesn't need Patent, a Media Liability carrier is probably your best bet.

There are a lot of markets that should be able to offer Private D&O for a start-up lab. Have you exhausted the package markets (Chubb, Travelers, Hartford, etc.)?
