I'm an agent in Michigan, and we have not heard anything from our carriers or anyone else regarding this. We are now starting to ask our carriers about it to make sure we stay informed. Thanks for the notice, SKIP.

In Michigan, sole proprietors are also not allowed to have a worker's compensation policy for themselves. In these instances, we use the Michigan Worker's Compensation Placement Facility to issue an "if any" policy on behalf of the insured. It costs $800 annually, and if they do not show a...
