If you have any working capital see if there is a small agency in town that you can buy. Keep an eye out for people retiring where you can buy the book. Its a good way to get rolling.

I think it all depends. I am a first year producer and will do in excess of 35k in revenue (not sure TP). My firm gives quite a few resources to help me with my job though.
