It appears that your underwriter is finding a new way to refuse to insure an older home, or to keep one on the books. Run, do not walk, and find another carrier and switch all of your business with that company. It is a lot of work, but you'll have fewer problems in the future.

You have to realize that you will probably be unable to place preferred auto and homeowners business until you obtain a leading carrier. So look for good MGAs and surplus lines brokers. Garamendi probably does not care about the quality of the company. Offer the lowest quote, even with a B- company, if it is cheaper than an A+ offering. You will exit the business much faster this way!
