Insurer of Last Resourt

If your lender is located in FL, then they know what the insurance climate is like there right now. From a business standpoint, purchasing a major piece of property in FL may not be the best idea. Then again, if the price is right, there is always a market. My suggestion, wait until 11-1-2006 to pur...

Citizens

Citizens Property Insurance Corp. is the state's insurer of last resort, and does not use ISO standard forms. Do you have a Wind question?? You can try calling Citizens to get a copy of the form. How does Citizens decide how much premium to charge? The basis for Citizens' rates is mandated by Florid...

I would suggest the Hartford for risks with total payroll less than $1M. Texas Mutual does control much of the market in Texas, but it is SUPPOSED to be (the Fund) the carrier of last resort, not rated by AM Best.

Its All Possiable

In Professional Liability (MedMal) this endorsement is very common as coverage is on a claims made basis. My suggestion would be to talk to Lexington Insurance Co. (AIG). They have standard subsidiaries that allow them to write on admitted paper in almost every state, and I believe they have a progr...

St. Paul Malpractice Loss Runs and the New CMS System

I need to know if any Healthcare Producers or Account Managers are having this same problem... With the great merge of St. Paul & Travelers a new CMS (Claims Management System) has emerged. From my expierence, this system does not pull accurate malpractice loss runs. As of 8-15-06, I could obtai...

What do you think about Eliot Spitzer's agenda to have the insurance industry ruled and run by the Government? While Eliot Spitzer is currently only an Attorney General, he aspires for a shot as the Governor of NY. He has permanently ruined Marsh's reputation and is working on Aon. These are two of ...

Why be someone's account manager when you can be a broker? So many CRS(s) and Account Managers in the Insurance Industry know that the current Producer/Broker they work for wouldn't have 50% of the business they currently hold, without them. So why do so many of us remain the person behind the sceen...
