I can't seem to find anyone that can write this code. They are currently with State Fund and I think it might be the only writer. Anyone out there have a market for this code.
Although the description for code 5057 is- Steel, structural and exterior installation.
And this business is a company that moves and installs safes and vaults for businesses and individuals.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: SIC Code- 5057
Maybe it's just me, but it looks like your SIC code is not appropriate for the business the client is doing. These guys aren't structural steel erectors, there must be a better code that suits their line.

Read the SCOPES manual. A cross reference for code 5057 is Vault Construction or Installation. "Code 5057 is additionally applied to specialist contractors engaged in the construction or installation of fire- or burglar-proof vaults."

I agree with LadyBroler The SIC code is definitely wrong I did a quick search and came up with these two SIC codes:LadyBroker wrote:Maybe it's just me, but it looks like your SIC code is not appropriate for the business the client is doing. 1796 Installation Or Erection Of Building Equipment and 5044f Safes & Vaults Wholesale.
You might also want to go to the NCCI (National Council on Compensation Insurance) website,
http://www.ncci.com/ncciweb/ncci.asp?lf ... i_main.asp, where you can look up the risk and find out what their controlling class code is. Safe Manufacturing or Repairing is class code 3507

Thanks everyone for your input. I will checkout the other codes and look a little deeper into the SIC code description.

Re: SIC Code- 5057
The ISO Classification guide confirms that 5057-Iron or Steel Erection is the correct Workers Compensation Classification class for Vault Installations. The Correct Standard Industry Classification(SIC) is either 1799-Specialty Trade Contractor or 1791-Structural Stell Erection.
