CHAUFFEUR ONLY POLICY

Post by MPDC »

I have started a business where I provide drivers to drive clients in the client’s personal vehicle. I am seeking a policy that would cover my drivers if an accident would occur. From my research I have been given the following information.

1. I would need a non owned / hired auto policy. ( Will this provided the coverage I need?)
2. My drivers are covered under the policy of the client’s current liability policy. (If this is true , does the client have to add the drivers name to the insurance company?)

I am seeking a professional opinion for this type of business. I have called several insurance companies in an attempt to find someone to write this type of policy, however I have been unsuccessful.
My company is in New Jersey and any referrals would be appricated.

Thank you in advance.

I think we spoke about this a while ago. Call me at 201-797-1215. NJCAIP has a stand alone/hired and non-owned policy available, but i'm not sure how you are working.
