Northern California area hotels/ motels

Hi! Sequoia is a great market, as is Fireman's Fund and Travelers. From my experience, Travelers has more underwriting issues and they all rate differently. If you do not have direct access to these markets, Networked has these carriers and a bit more, but they can be challenging to work with.

Farmers has a new and competitive program. I wrote one through an agent friend of mine recently. PM me if you are interested. You can always park it there and move it the following year.

You can contact insurance.ca.gov. Try asking for a list of carriers. You can also post general questions or inquiries to insurance-related issues there.

Philadelphia has a hotel program and can write in CA. In addition to Travelers, C N A and Capitol also have programs for hotels/motels but not sure if they can write in California.
Re: Which carrier is best for hotels?
There are a lot of choices of carriers that you may find on the net. However, it would be good to see the price range and offerings of the top carriers before making a choice. You wouldn't want to get into a hassle with a bad carrier which wouldn't be good for your business.
