Re: Ex-Real Estate Marketer Seeks Career Change into Insuran
Whatever happened to Mark? Maybe he did the "other" math and realized that with the same amount of work, prospecting, follow-up, lead generation companies, etc. that doing one or two real estate deals per quarter probably put more money in his pocket that doing $800.00 HO-3 and $500.00 BOP policies and all the follow-up certs, A/I, and NOI mailings. Addressing bottom line results only (not the love of doing things and helping others, etc)the only way to be profitable is to sell Life and Annuities. Not that much follow up, get paid a nice commission up front, and move on. About the only clerical follow-up would be to change beneficiaries or to increase limits. You know the paperwork intensity of P&C, be it personal lines or commercial, and with Health you are constantly switching plans and adding/subtracting dependents and/or employees. Doesn't leave much, does it?
