Need New Market for Commercial E.Q Ins

Post by sanddog1 »

Hello need a little help. My reliable Commercial Earth Quake carrier decided to double their rates. Can anyone recommend a carrier for California? besides ICAT/XL Insurance or Indian Insurance

The CA marketplace is quite difficult at this time. We specialize in EQ/DIC and prices are up substantially with limits reduced. You may need an E & S broker to help.

Have you tried Golden Bear? I have an insured with a 7,000 sq ft frame sprinklered building, 30 years old in Los Angeles with building coverage at $1.5 million and BPP at $300K for an annual premium of $5,000 just written last month.

I will be attending NAPSLO next month to meet with a market that might be able to help. It's a good E & S facility for commercial DIC.

Can you wait until after 9-18-2006?

Try Star-Alliance. They helped me to place a very tough EQ account.

You can try American E & S (San Francisco) - they helped me with some older buildings in SF - Star Alliance is good, too (in Long Beach, CA)
