Looking for a little market intelligence on this carrier. Running into them on some commercial construction accounts. See that they are admitted, and A-6 rated, but with negative implications. Would anyone have some info they could share?
Have a great day!

Interesting
What types of commercial construction are you seeing them insuring?
If grocery stores, that seems to be their bag due to their food industry emphasis.

Work Comp
Just noticed that Benchmark has a partner, The Builders Association Self-Insurers Fund [ http://www.basif.com/ ] that writes self-insured Workers Comp for the constuction industry.
Another partner, Fidelity Group Insurance Professionals LLC, ostensibly writes both group and P&C insurance, the latter can include CGL. That could be limited to retail food risks.
I don't see anything on their site about a California conduit, but either of the above or another partner, the AG Insurance Agency [which writes in other West Coast states] could be another conduit.
Good luck.
