from what i understand you should be able to call NCCI 1-800-622-4123 and that is the assigned risk agency they will even quote and fax forms to you. I am not positive if they are in CA, but they should be. Good Luck.
Lisa

Mac
log-on to www.agencytimesaver.com and click on Workers' Comp. markets. There are two wholesalers listed, Cascade General and Arrowhead General with lower minimum premiums for small accounts, (including artisan contractors) which you are seeking. All contact information, including staff emails and web site links are also provided in case you do not currently do business with either of these wholesalers.

Mac:
There's the old standby, State Compensation Insurance Fund, and as already suggested to you, check with Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. Ph. # (800) 780-8020 and ask for Todd Buell in New Biz U/W. Might also check website of www.superioraccess.com to find out if the class code qualifies for any of their programs. I believe one of their carriers will even write biz with No Prior. Good Luck. Jim Warlin/Perkins-Warlin Ins. Svcs., Cathedral City, Ca.
