I have a client that owns a commercial building. The owner of the building leases it out to a bar. Do you have any recommendations for this type of a risk?

Thank you in advance.

Western Security Surplus has a bar program, so I am sure they would be able to insure the bldg for the owner who leases it out.

Steve,

I write alot of both bars, and also the LRO's for the bar. I would be happy to help you on this risk.

Carriers that I've found to write Bar's, Tavers, Nightclubs in NY are as follows...Indemnity Insurance Corp of DC, Mt. Hawley Insurance Company, a non-admitted subsidiary of RLI Insurance Company, Scottsdale. I've also seen a number of advertisements from ProHost USA (who is an MGA). I can not tell you whether these carriers would be willing to write lessor's risk only.
