Residential Framing General Contractor in NJ needs CGL

Post by Nice Surplus Lines Broker »

All work is subbed.

All new construction. 60% townhouses/40% single family.

30 years in biz.

Annual cost to subs: $350,000.

Annual gross receipts: $3,000,000.

One claim being subro'ed - $100,000 reserve. Sub of a sub lifting workers to third floor of residence under construction. Two workers fell 20 feet to the ground/

Has quote for $50,000 in surplus lines. Exp. premium with standard carrier under $10,000.

Any ideas?

It isn't normal in this industry to do that sales volume from $350K in labor costs. Me thinks your insured is lowballing the estimates.
