Powder Coating Account in CALIF
Am looking for a carrier to write a powder coating firm in CA. It is not a new business; has no claims since inception 9 years ago; and is being non-renewed by current carrier. Reason is change in company appetite.

Re: Powder Coating Account in CALIF
I have seen number of carriers non renew these types of accounts because of environmental exposures. Materials used (hazardous or not) can cause contamination because of improper storage or accidental spill. And while typical GL carrier does not intend to cover pollution-related claims, they can still be brought in to defend, which is why (I am guessing) they are getting off these types of accounts. This should probably be written with a carrier that can provide environmental package (GL, on/off site pollution, product pollution etc).
