ATV used for snow removal
I have a customer that uses an ATV for snow removal at his home and possibly at his place of business. Would the typical homeowners policy covered the liability at his home? Would I need a separate policy for the snow removal at his place of business?
Re: ATV used for snow removal
Up here in the great Northwest there are a lot of homeowners that use an ATV or tractor for snow control. If it's at home the homeowner's liability should extend if he accidentally damaged property or injured someone. The "place of business" might be different. Does he own the property and the business? If so I would make sure the business' GL covered the owner while performing maintenance for the property. If someone else owns the business & property then the insured is acting as a sub-contractor and should have proper coverage for the vehicle and the "business" of snow removal services.
