SEO and buying back links

Does anyone buy backlinks to increase your insurance website's SEO? If so, where is a good place to start? I dont want to buy 1000 crappy links. I want to but like 1-5 really good ones (page rank 5 or better)...

Maybe you can do a survey on buying backlinks and emailed the support staff on the quality of their backlinks.

Buying backlinks isn't exactly black hat, but it isn't white either. There can be a medium between the two. But you have to remember that if you were to purchase a ton of links you run the risk of being thrown into the ultra-mysterious "sand box." But it still may be worth it. Also another tactic that you may employ is an SEO firm. They will be able to do, Or at least SHOULD be able to get the results you desire.

If you are planning to outrank your upper competitor, you can use an automation tool as long as you are using it in the right way. I do SEO works for various companies and I also have my own website for seo services. However, I don't want to share my website here since it will look like I was just promoting it to you instead of sending you a tip. It always works and especially when you want to target the #1 spot. But, the prices of them are not economical if you are just a small business or should we say just for personal website. They are actually monthly subscription and will cost you around $200+ in total monthly. nevertheless, the benefit that you will get from it is worth the price. I think and I am sure that you know them already if you do your homework about SEO.

Anyway, I can give you a list of high PR+ website (Blogs) that you can use if you want to have hign quality backlinks. but it takes time for some of them as your post will be reviewed. but getting 1 backlink is better than getting 100 low quality backlink so it is worth the risk. I agree with you, there is no really bad effect in automated submission of links but don't overdo it as it may look spam and we all know that Google and other search engines can see our activities. Other Webmasters and anti-spammers are also there to watch massive link building fanatics.

I'm not a big fan of buying backlinks because of the quality of links. Our company hired an SEO specialist to build links manually. We also have an article writer. Content is still king in SEO.

I wouldn't recommend it. First off you don't know where they are going to put your link at and you may not approve.

Google doesn't give that much credit for a ton of backlinks but more so for quality backlinks from reputable sites. In googles algorithm it benefits you more have quality backlinks than just a bunch of garbage backlinks.

Inbound links are an essential part of a strong SEO strategy. However, buying those links is usually not a good idea. The problem with buying links is that the link sellers oftentimes sell links to several other buyers just like you. Many times these other buyers are purchasing links to promote more questionable types of businesses. This can lead to your inbound link profile looking just like that of an adult website or gambling website - which is never a good thing if Google decides to tweak a bit of their algorithm to target these types of sites.

Also, most link sellers display all of their "sold links" in a common area such as a sidebar or footer of a website. The SEO community strongly believes that links in these areas are being devalued by Google and can also potentially be flagged as "unnatural" by Google.

Buying links will not do any good in your site, with the big algo change in the past 6 - 9 months common link building techniques will only harm your site (Panda, Penguin, EMD, etc.) You just need to engage with people with influence and impress them with your site (maybe) eventually they will use (link) your site as their reference.

Google has made some massive changes Is of January 17, 2013 for backlinks, one agent went from page one to page 13 for many of hi keywords because what google liked previously the no longer like...don't buy back-links unless you know exactly what type of links google wants! (Otherwise o my destroy your website in the SERP results!)
