Does anyone have any experience selling for AAA Southern California in Costa Mesa? I applied for and was offered a sales trainee position. I like the fact that it is a benefitted position where you are an employee and not an agent. I am willing to make less money in trade-off for that. If anyone has any input I would appreciate it.

I don't have any experience selling for AAA but I have a lot of experience competing against them and being very successful. To make it long term in this business you have to offer more to your customers than just one choice. As an independent agent you have the ability to offer your clients and prospects choices of companies, coverages, and prices to meet their needs not just yours. My advice is to seek out a producer position in an established independent agency where they offer benefits. Avoid the ABC's, State Farmers, All American Families, etc

This is good advice that you have just been given. The last thing that you would want to do - especially for any extended period of time - is to get stuck being captive to just one car insurance company. Bad for you and bad for the client.
