Houston General Insurance - GONE!

What's the latest word on Houston General closing its doors. Has anyone talked to company reps that know what's going on?

Theres a post on their site, first page after you login.. says something along the lines that they couldnt write business on a scale that made it worthwhile. It seems like they only gave it 12 months

I've spoken to Houston General and the Arizona Dept of Insurance and as of October 5th, Houston General has not contacted them to withdraw. But their website does say they intent to stop writing in December and non-renewing in January. I wrote for them for only 5 months but have a good amount of premium with them. I've heard some agencies have half a million to a million in premium there. OneBeacon has effectively hurt future companies that try to enter the Arizona market. This will sting for awhile.
