Opinions please.
A trucking account registered as for hire even though they are hauling 95% of their oun goods and 5% for hire and requires an ICC filing needs to be written on a BAT form?

I must admit that I am a bit confused by your question. The only BAT form I am familiar with, in connection with trucking accounts, is the DOT Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Form. Now, if you are wondering whether a BAP (Business Auto Policy) is the appropriate policy form for truckers, then I would direct you to the BAP definition of "Auto", which includes trucks.

Will your carrier choose to use a BAP or a specific Truckers form for the coverage? The final answer will come from your underwriter.

I'm not sure what BAT is either but if you are referring to the difference between Business Auto Form or Truckers form, your needs will depend on the specifics of the risk. There can be benefits to both, and limitations, but in general there are some provisions to the Truckers form that are intended to benefit for-hire trucking- including, but not limited to, inclusion of the owner of the trucks utilized in the business as an "insured"- which may not be present in the Bus Auto form and for which you will need to compare the forms in detail.
