I strongly agree. And this is the reason why dental plan is much more helpful than dental insurance.

Dental plan is actually an alternative to dental insurance because it's more cost-effective. With the former you can visit the dentist at a reduced rate and with reduced cost but with the condition that you need to pay for the services at the same time you visited the dentist. While the latter doesn't provide coverage for pre-existing conditions, there's a long waiting period and the services offered are limited. In short, dental plan allows you to pay for dental services at a discounted price and same day you were rendered the services.
