I was searching the archives for this topic. could not find anything.
I am trying to find out which insurance company can give me a direct appointment in New York, with out much experience. This is my first year in the auto insurance business (personal ). I have experience in the banking sector for about 7 years, I dealth with mortgage, loans, and personal banking
such as credit cards and banks accounts

I am already using NYAIP. payouts are looking small from my wholesaler agency and the plan from NYS. I need to have direct appointment so I could increase my production. Any information would be appreciated.

If you want to dive in whole-hog, you could try Allstate. They are looking for agents with financial experience, so you might be an attractive candidate.

You have one of the best auto insurance qualifications i have seen coming from a bank related insurance, i bet you won't even have a hard time getting that appointment that you want.

I agree, I would advise against going the captive route (AllState). You will be thankful later if you go the independent agent route (just my opinion).
