E & O COVERAGE FOR AN AGENCY

I HEARD THAT E & O POLICY IS IN SOFT MARKET, DOES ANYONE KNOW
A PLACE TO SHOP??? I AM IN MY FORTH YEAR AS AGENCY OWNER.

What State are you in? I have numerous markets for E & O but limited to AZ. & NV. Might be able to do CA.

If it were me....
First I would go to my state PIA and Big I to get quotes from their exclusive program.
Second, work with a wholesale broker who specializes in insurance agents E&O. There are over a dozen markets for insurance agents E&O and depending "how deep" you want the broker to market your coverage they can get you competing quotes. Remember it is not always just a pricing decision, look at terms, first dollar defense, deductible options and make an overall decision.
We marketed our coverage last year and ended up with a half dozen quotes and made an overall decision on which one we chose. I was surprised that they were all in a certain range. Our renewal this year came in 25% below our expiring with another market so the market for insurance agents E&O is definitely softening.

Keep in mind that many agents carry too low a limit on their employee dishonesty coverage and should get an indication to raise that limit too.
