Hello Everyone,

I am looking to buy some insurance related books/texts. I already have a lot of the insurance institute books (the ones for the aai are great), but can anyone recommend any others? I sell personal and commercial lines and wish to have a more in depth understanding of the coverages and how to better explain them to clients.

Has anyone used the Rough Notes books? Specifically "Coverages Applicable" ? (http://www.roughnotes.com/products_catalog07/index.html).

Any other recommendations?

Thanks so much!

Kirk

Subscribe to FC&S and read the updates each month. Use the books as a coverage reference as you work with clients.

Read the policies you sell. Ask respected colleague's for help with interpretations. Use FC&S too.

National Underwriter has some good titles. Buy and read two or three each year.

Read Rough Notes, Business Insurance, Insurance Journal, Bests, National Underwriter and regional insurance publications (The Standard in the northeast).

Read the Wall St Journal every day.

Also, Forbes, Fortune, Inc., and your local daily newspaper.

Read every book by Peter Drucker, Alan Weiss, and Seth Godin.

Read my blog and newsletter too <wink>
