CPCU multiple choice

The CPCU has been changed. 520, 530 and 540 are multiple choice tests as of 2010.

This goes to show that the economy takes a tool at all levels. One of my teachers told me that back in the day AIG and other large carriers sent all their people to classes the institute had. Now a few scattered folks are straggling in. Especially without employer backup, the costs will really push numbers down.

With how much work the CPCU takes it is no surprise some concessions were made. People love to say the CIC is five years, but let’s all be real, it’s five weekends, not five years.

I have both CPCU and CIC designations. CPCU is a graduate level program for insurance professionals. CIC is Insurance 101 for beginners. Those who say CPCU is for those that cant underwrite and cant produce, are the ones who flunked the first CPCU exam and gave up the curriculum.
