Hi.
I have earned my FLMI designation from LOMA in May 2012. I have 5 + years experience in Life/Health Insurance industry in the Middle East. I am thinking of pursuing the CPCU designation. I just need an opinion if this would be the right track for me to pursue. Also any other suggestions ??

Regards
Javed

If you have experience in life issues, what is your goal? it is difficult to maintain an expertise is every line of insurance.
I am primarily a casualty-property commercial insurance broker. At one time several P-C insurance brokers decided it would be a good idea to optain their securities license and offer stocks and bonds to augment their P&C income. All of their clients lost major income in the pursuit. I said All.

You need to decide what you are good at, but do not spread yourself to thin. A CPCU is an outstanding designation to pursue. As important is your ability to demonstate your abilities to sovle problems and provide solutions to benefit your clients. What are you good at?
