How to market for me?

Hello everyone,

I find these forums really helpful.

I want to take my talents to produce in the medium/large commercial market. Where can i learn the sales process for this type of clientèle when working on my own without a big corporate name behind me?

Background info about me:
I am a broker in a 1 man shop that places generalist business. Owner is retired. I have talent in finding structural difficulties in certain industries and then convincing insurers to play ball to solve the problem (even creating new coverage that doesn't exist). I think i owe this to have a finance background (CFA) and being very analytical. Soft skills are average but I'm improving. I've been able to close very large group benefits mandates but the owner was the one who created the leads. So, very strong at closing on my own but have never created any leads from scratch/cold.

What are "structural difficulties" and "group benefits mandate"?
