I just joined this site yesterday and think it's great. However I am in Minnesota and was wondering if anyone knows of a forum like this tailored more for the Midwest area?
A little about me. I've been in the ins. business for about 4.5 years. I started as a captive Farm Bureau agent, was there for 6 months when a Producer position became available with a well respected independent agency in town. I was offered the job; best move I ever made. Independent is the ONLY way to go (IMO). Now I've got great markets, great co-workers and boss, with full benefits including health, life, short and long term disability, matching pension, plus a 50% new 30% renewal commercial commission split and 5% of any contingency bonuses the agency receives.
