Business Auto Policy - Cover Valet Operations?

Post by realdeal »

I have a new client who owns a Valet operation. Basically, clients (Country Clubs, Wedding Halls, etc.) call him when they need his services and he sends his employees to the locations to valet park vehicles.

He's had a Business Auto Policy for a number of years (with another company) with the Non-Owned Auto symbol.

If one of his workers crashes into a person or another car, would the BAP provide coverage?

Thanks

You should re-write his policy to a garage policy and include garagekeepers coverage for the cars in his care, custody and control. Offhand, I'm not sure of the coverage on a Business Auto, it there are any exclusions. Need to read the policy forms.
