GL for Land Developer

Post by WhizInsurance »

Anyone know of where I can place a $1M GL policy for a land developer? I've been told to try Evanston and Nautilus. Both quotes have been in the $30k range. Does this sound normal for a land developer? The exposure is around $3M.

Thanks.

Don't know where you are located, but call this #:

SH Smith & Company
1-800-356-0168

Ask for Seth Amendola

They have some good markets & I have used them before. They seem to be cheaper than most Wholesalers on things they can write.

He can tell you what companies they can use for it. Maybe you can then contact one of the Wholesalers you work with to see if they have it.

Bigger question is.....is the land being developed for Commercial or Residential use? Your pricing you indicate in the initial posts does not seem out of line.
