Job Summary:

Our accounting team is central to our success, and this is an exciting and dynamic opportunity for the right candidate. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance within the insurance industry and a deep understanding of MGA operations. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Dallas office.

Major Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and analysis to senior management.

• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and other financial accounts.

• Assist in the development and management of the company's budget, monitoring expenditures and variances.

• Manage cash flow to ensure the company meets its financial obligations.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.

• Work closely with other departments to support overall business objectives and ensure financial alignment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• CPA or equivalent certification preferred

• 2+ years of experience in finance, preferably within the insurance or MGA industry

• Strong understanding of MGA operations and financial management

• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proactive and adaptable with a hands-on approach to tasks

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm (with one hour for lunch) or as business otherwise dictates. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Dallas.

Salary: Competitive depending on experience
