The Role



This Senior Global Benefits Consultant role is an exciting and visible position in WTW’s US Health & Benefits (H&B) business. In this Director level role, you will take the lead in applying global benefits and rewards acumen and understanding to develop and execute client specific global benefits strategies and in-country solutions. The position sits within WTW’s H&B Global Solutions team which serves the needs of emerging multinationals in the US Mid-Market with a portfolio of solutions are tailored to this segment of our market.

You will be responsible for client relationships and a wide range of engagements that include WTW’s Global Benefits Management (GBM) service model, global strategy development, single and multi-country benchmarking exercises, delivering global advice, and deploying WTW global resources, tools, and technology in support of client needs.

You will be a team leader on the WTW’s H&B Global Solutions team, responsible for growth and client development, advancement of important practice matters and initiatives, and you may join up in some aspects of practice operations. An important aspect of this role is working effectively with US H&B Markets and teams, where client opportunities and RFPs are managed throughout the year.

The position involves managing all aspects of global benefits delivery, leveraging, and cooperating with WTW global resources and specialisms. You will be working effectively with local colleagues in a variety of countries. Specifically, you will be responsible for leading global coordination of WTW’s global network and areas of specialism (Retirement, Wellbeing, Insured Benefits and Reward practices) with effective client interfacing at US Headquarters.

The Responsibilities




  • Manage complex global engagements, in the process demonstrating your experience and understanding of global client challenges and the application of relevant solutions.

  • Facilitate the development and execution of global benefits and rewards strategies, coordinating various types of global benchmarking projects, managing Global Benefits Management (GBM) relationships, assisting clients with their global expansion efforts through the introduction of new local country benefit programs.

  • Deliver superior, consistent project management on multi-country projects such as Global Benefits Management (GBM).

  • Be a trusted advisor both internally and with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution, ensuring delivery and strong client satisfaction to retain clients.

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.

  • Support new business RFPs and ongoing support as part of the broader team. In some cases, lead new sales opportunities and execute on growth within existing client base.

  • Actively develop and mentor junior level colleagues.



The Requirements

  • 15+ years of global benefits experience with demonstrated success applying global expertise, preferably in global brokerage and consulting industry.
  • A strong foundation in understanding local market requirements, typical employer practices and culturally ingrained nuances associated with foreign benefits management and delivery.
  • A good degree of knowledge of global and local market vendors, including new and innovative ways employers are being compelling with global benefits and rewards.
  • Track record of success in managing multinational client relationships, leading global teams and successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time.
  • Take responsibility for developing Health & Benefits (H&B) new business by delivering a compelling WTW global value proposition.
  • Support US H&B producers in the middle market, demonstrate strong ability to contribute to RFPs and finalist presentations.
  • Partner with Client Service Teams (CST) to deliver global benefits concepts, strategies and results that effectively drive client action and improve plan performance.
  • Contribute thought leadership on global issues and solutions to clients and to internal colleagues.
  • Participate in global workstreams with other WTW teams (e.g., US H&B, IGS - Integrated and Global Solutions) that advance business in Global Benefits Management (GBM)
  • Monitor key market developments and solutions that impact global solution planning and execution.
  • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges.
  • Provide leadership to client teams on deliverables and manage workflow across multiple project work streams.
  • Demonstrate excellent relationship management skills to handle difficult external and internal conversations.
  • Strong client relationships, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Confidence speaking on global issues and leading in front of senior client buyers.
  • Professional presence with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and creative skills.
  • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis.
  • BA/BS degree, other academic and professional credentials preferred.
  • Experience living and working overseas, and foreign language skills preferred, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is 125,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
