Controller

Join Security First Managers as a Controller and lead our accounting operations with professionalism and precision. You'll oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing accuracy in financial results. Collaborate closely with the Chief Accounting Officer to establish effective organizational structures and manage a dedicated team. Your role will focus on managing people, identifying risks, and implementing strategic goals to support company growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of financial statements (SAP, MCB, GAAP)


• Produce accurate and timely financial reports


• Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures


• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements


• Provide financial insights for board distribution


• Manage risks associated with business activities


• Foster a positive work environment and uphold company values


• Supervises accounting team members, assess and monitors workloads

Minimum Requirements

• Four (4) years of progressively responsible accounting experience including statutory accounting in the insurance industry


• Two (2) years of supervisory experience


• OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience

Certifications and Licenses

• May be required to possess a valid state of Florida driver's license


• Insurance industry designations or trade certifications as required

• Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF™) designation or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Six (6) years of progressively responsible accounting experience including statutory accounting in the insurance industry


• Bachelor's degree in a related field
