Our Retirement team combines expertise in retirement and investment consulting to support global organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering, and communicating all types of retirement plans. Whether a client has a defined benefit pension or a defined contribution plan, we work with them to determine the right approach to design, funding, investing, governing, and employee engagement that fits their specific goals.

The Role



As a Lead Retirement Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for developing new business, leading and delivering large, strategic client engagements and serving as strategic advisor to clients and colleagues. You’ll also be asked to contribute your thought leadership to the overall development of the Retirement Line of Business and cross line of business development opportunities.

As a Lead Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for identifying client needs and opportunities for which WTW can provide solutions. You will facilitate introductions for colleagues in the businesses to help clients meet their needs and seize those opportunities. You will also build relationships with key buyers at the clients for whom you serve as a Lead Relationship Manager.

As the Market Leader for the Missouri / Kansas Geography, you will be responsible for colleague engagement, culture and community in the market, as you work in partnership with other local leaders.

Performance Objectives:



Financial




  • Primary accountability for growing revenue on significant client and prospect opportunities

  • Cross-sell new projects and services to current clients; maximize the penetration of key accounts

  • Serve as the lead Retirement strategist/subject matter expert on large client cases, where appropriate

  • Manage the financial results for the Retirement relationship



Clients




  • Lead client relationships from a Retirement perspective

  • Lead overall relationship with the client

  • Establish a trusted advisor role with clients and provide consistent, superior relationship management

  • Identify and proactively act upon opportunities to cross sell projects and services to current clients

  • Build relationships with key client contacts

  • Identify client needs/opportunities

  • Match WTW services with client needs/opportunities

  • Facilitate introductions for WTW colleagues in other businesses




  • Lead and manage multiple large Retirement consulting client engagements

  • Provide strategic direction for client engagements across a broad range of retirement opportunities / initiatives

  • Build leveraged teams that work effectively together

  • Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients



People

  • Demonstrate extensive leadership ability by mentoring and developing others

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

  • Oversee actuaries and other financial experts in the delivery of value-added models, projections and analytics



Excellence




  • Serve as senior strategist and ensure clients are regularly informed about the implications and opportunities that changing laws and regulations have related to their retirement plans

  • Perform consulting review of work products and drive excellence in client delivery

  • Contribute to the development of new tools, IC and approaches to Retirement plan strategy and management



Requirements:

  • Proven success in the design/management of Retirement programs to Fortune 500 or organizations of similar size gained in a consulting environment
  • Track record of generating profitable revenue and winning new large client relationships
  • An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with and lead colleagues and mentor junior colleagues
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, persuade others to take a holistic view, and knowledge of the competitive landscape and full range of WTW services
  • An undergraduate degree is required
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis
