The American Guaranty Fund Group (AGFG) which manages the Florida Insurance Guaranty Association (FIGA) and the Florida Workers Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association (FWCIGA) is seeking an Executive Director.
Desired qualifications include experience with insurance company liquidation, claims adjusting, or insurance regulation. The Executive Director reports to three boards, the AGFG Board, as well as the FIGA and FWCIGA Boards. FIGA and FWCIGA have the primary responsibility to pay for claims of insolvent property and casualty, or workers compensation claims, and together contract with AGFG for administrative support in fulfilling their duties.
Responsibilities include managing a staff of 30 that together handle the adjusting and payment of both standard and complex insurance claims. Oversight of independent claims and other contractors, financial management, and budget preparation. The winning applicant will be required to run the office onsite, which is located in Tallahassee. Requires extensive cooperation with insurance solvency and rehabilitation and liquidation regulators, and other state guaranty fund administrators and regulators.
