The Role:



As a Health and Benefits Director - Team Lead, you will focus on supporting client leads and enhancing client delivery processes. Your primary responsibilities will include client retention, ensuring consistent delivery of high-value services, and enabling our teams to manage their workloads effectively. This role is crucial in providing hands-on support to our client relationship and delivery teams, with the goal of maintaining high client satisfaction and retention.


  • Support Client Service Teams:



    • Oversee the design and delivery of project plans, ensuring progress against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.

    • Provide additional resources to help teams manage their workloads and deliver exceptional client experiences.

    • Act as a thinking partner and internal advocate to enhance our client work and support consultants in delivering WTW’s H&B value proposition effectively.

    • Demonstrate extensive leadership ability by directly managing and/or mentoring other colleagues


  • Focus on Client Retention and Efficiency:



    • Improve efficiency by reducing the effort involved in similar projects across clients.

    • Drive accountability and ensure teams are delivering consistent service and work product of the highest standards.

    • Support new client onboarding and assist with high-priority client deliverables.

    • Conduct final review of key deliverables to ensure alignment to client objectives, leverage of optimal WTW recommendations, services and solutions, and adherence to WTW professional excellence standards


  • Implement Best Practices and Ensure Consistency:



    • Propagate best practices across clients, ensuring better discipline and consistency in our client experiences.

    • Provide better access to information and best practices, making it easier for teams to perform their jobs effectively.

    • Ensure client teams consistently engage appropriate specialist resources and subject matter experts to solve for client needs


  • Client-Facing Responsibilities:



    • The TL will attend key client meetings as needed, providing additional support and expertise during transitions, leaves, or when additional client-facing support is required.




The Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience and demonstrated success in the design/management of increasingly complex health and welfare plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment or similar experience in a consultative role at a carrier or vendor.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage, coach, mentor and motivate others
    • Strong financial skills, particularly in health and welfare product pricing, underwriting, or actuarial work.
    • Proven ability to nurture relationships with current clients.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
    • Professional project management skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Certifications:
    • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; high school diploma required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements for various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role base on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual qualifications, education/profession certifications, experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $140,000- $200,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
