Job Description

The Financial Controls Manager manages Sarbanes-Oxley and/or internal control compliance team/work group and the complex daily activities and results of the team. This management role may be operational and/or project oriented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide extensive expertise and project/process management skill application in managing or developing specific compliance processes and services
  • Serve as financial advisor and expert in absence of Director, assisting Business Unit leaders and stakeholders in a consultative manner and identifying needs proactively in the areas of internal controls, process and procedures
  • Answer complex inquires requiring interpretation of policies, procedures, rules and regulations, as liaison between users and Compliance function
  • Attend/conduct meetings to provide and receive critical information related to implementation of controls, project definition, status reviews and final reports while maintaining working relationships with cross-functional areas to facilitate resolution
  • Reviews and reports complex data and procedures and approve documents for adherence to company compliance programs
  • Consult with peers and senior leaders on a broad range of control processes/projects. May define and execute communication strategy and share industry trends to influence compliance process owners
  • May manage others in a complex operational or project-oriented team
  • Coordinates major projects and resources, forecasts results, monitors progress. Recommend requirements to ensure systems/processes are optimal
  • Identify, coordinate and implement opportunity areas to ensure systems/processes are optimal
  • Define control objectives and contribute to departmental and company control objectives


Education
  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)


Experience
  • 7 or more years of experience (Preferred)


Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This job has supervisory duties.


Education & Experience (in lieu)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $104,000.00 - 187,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
