The Role


A Marine Lead Associate supports daily operations for Shipowners broking Team. This would include communication with clients and insurance markets, document creation for use with clients and insurance markets, assistance with compliance, systems data entry and other support tasks as required, The role supports the end to end placement lifecycle for new business and renewals to help maintain a positive relationship with clients.

Performance Objectives

  • Work with brokers to provide day-to-day servicing of accounts, including:
    • Issuance of policies and endorsements
    • Assist in formulating submissions for insurance carriers
    • Assist with quote comparative spreadsheets
    • Issuance of compliance documentation
    • Assist and coordinate responses to RFP’s
    • Organize internal, prospect and client meetings
    • Carry out surplus lines, market security, sanctions, and third-party payment procedures
    • Support invoicing of all Shipowner accounts
    • Follow up on invoicing and accounting inquiries
    • Maintain updated account list
    • Review and manage policy expiration list.


  • Learn and utilize WTW software and systems – ECLIPSE,
  • Add/renew policy record in ECLIPSE; upload required documentation throughout placement


The Requirements
  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred
  • 5 years of Marine Hull and Liability Experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a track record of success working against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously or within the team, while working towards tight deadlines
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, with a high-level focus on quality
  • Ability to conduct research
  • Understanding of required placement workflows
  • Must demonstrate core competency of Willis Towers Watson Values & Vision

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $90,000 - $105,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
