Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency Expands Online Services

Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency has expanded its online quoting offerings to include six popular lines of business. Now IES-appointed producers have instant quoting available for nonprofit directors and officers coverage, employment practices liability, community association coverage, comprehensive personal liability, personal umbrella coverage and vacant building coverage.

According to Jim Heisler, IES president, of the new services, more products are being tested for the online facility, and the agency is currently working to update and streamline the company web site to make it more valuable for customers.

Producers can access IES’s quoting system from the Web site at www.ies-xs.com. They can use their current username and password to login to each of the products offered, or they can create a username using the online system.

Monarch E&S Insurance Opens Northern California Office

Monarch E&S Insurance Services, a specialty insurance wholesaler, licensed surplus lines broker and managing general agency, has announced the opening of a northern California branch office in Novato, Calif. Monarch’s Novato team is headed by Ron Hughes, branch manager; Lisa Matrone, underwriting manager; and Briana Griffin, underwriter.

Hughes brings more than 28 years of wholesale insurance experience along with various new markets.

Safe Auto Adds Colorado Call Center

Safe Auto Insurance Co. has announced it is adding a call center in Sterling, Colo., northeast of Denver.

The Whitehall, Ohio.-based insurer, which specializes in minimum auto insurance coverage, said it plans to employ 250 at the center, its fourth. A number of the employees will be trained to handle calls from customers who are not native English speakers.

Safe Auto has call centers in Columbus and Monroe County, Ohio, as well as one in South Carolina.

Safe Auto’s corporate headquarters are located in Central Ohio.
