San Diego Insurance Women, CMR Risk & Insurance Services

San Diego Insurance Women, an affiliate of the National Association of Insurance Women, International, presented the Employer of the Year award to CMR Risk & Insurance Services Inc. This award is given each year to the employer that has supported SDIW’s efforts, as well as invested highly in its employees, community, and client’s needs and development.

CMR Risk & Insurance Services, based in San Diego, is an independent risk management and human capital consultant. The company’s proprietary risk management and human resource services minimize the administrative time and expense their clients spend on these tasks, SDIW said.

Arrowhead General Insurance, Trafalgar Marine

Arrowhead General Insurance Agency Inc. completed its acquisition of Trafalgar Marine Insurance Services Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Trafalgar Marine Insurance is a specialty provider of marine and high net worth personal lines insurance products to retail agents, operating in 48 states throughout the United States.

Arrowhead General Insurance Agency is a national insurance program manager based in San Diego.

The Partners Group, Baldwin Resource Group

Portland, Ore.-based financial services and employee benefit consulting firm The Partners Group merged with Seattle-based Baldwin Resource Group, a firm with expertise in commercial insurance, enterprise risk management, employee benefits and business consulting. The merger transforms The Partners Group into one of the largest independent financial services, employee benefits and insurance brokerage firms in the Northwest, the companies said.

Baldwin Resource Group brings to the partnership a number of strategic advisory services in the areas of operations, mergers and acquisitions, human resources, litigation support, business continuity planning and more.

Heffernan Insurance, UNISONBrokers

Heffernan Insurance Brokers based in Walnut Creek, Calif., joined German-based UNISONBrokers, a global broker network, to facilitate its placement and servicing of insurance business in foreign countries.

Unison, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, is one of the largest independent networks of mid-sized insurance brokers, specializing in international insurance programs and solutions for all significant industrial regions worldwide.

Joining the network will allow Heffernan’s tech and international mid-market clients an international solution available only to larger companies, it said.
