Brown & Brown, Cornwall & Stevens

In an effort to increase its strength in the agriculture area, Brown & Brown Inc. recently acquired nearly all of the assets of Cornwall & Stevens Southwest.

Cornwall & Stevens Southwest will be merged into the current Brown & Brown of Texas Inc. office in Houston, and will be run by Robert M. Pryor, president of Brown & Brown of Texas Inc.

Brown & Brown’s corporate offices are located in Daytona Beach and Tampa, Fla. The independent agency also has offices in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.

Independent, privately held managing underwriter Professional Indemnity Agency (PIA) recently announced its acquisition of Morgan-White Ltd., Morgan-White Underwriters Inc., Morgan-White Administrators Inc., and Morgan-White Administrators International Inc.

PIA offers a full line of specialty products including: kidnap/ransom; extortion & detention; accidental product contamination and malicious product tampering coverage; D&O liability; EPL; workers’ comp; miscellaneous E&O liability; TPA professional liability; and corporate, multi-employer and union fiduciary liability.
