Foremost Insurance Group has launched its DistinctChoice Auto program in Connecticut. The auto program features increased limits, deductible options and coverages. The program also offers broad eligibility and discounts, including multi-policy discount and a five-year accident/violation free discount.

PURE

New York-based Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (PURE) said it would begin offering personal lines coverage to owners of high-value homes in Maryland and Washington D.C.

The company, a member-owned reciprocal insurer, said it will also offer automobile, jewelry, art, personal liability and watercraft insurance. In Maryland’s coastal areas, PURE said it will provide valuable capacity without mandatory hurricane deductibles. In addition, PURE will offer owners of condominiums and cooperatives up to $25,000 of coverage for damage caused to an adjacent unit, which it said will be of particular value in the D.C. area.

“PURE is excited to introduce much-needed competition to the Maryland and D.C. markets,” said CEO Ross Buchmueller. In addition to Maryland and D.C., PURE began offering coverage in Rhode Island in early 2010. PURE also serves members in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida and South Carolina and has obtained licenses in five other states.

Fiesta

California-based Fiesta Auto Insurance, a franchise system to combine insurance and tax preparation under one roof, said it has opened 20 new locations during the past 90 days. The company has increased its presence to more than 60 open locations throughout the United States. The new locations include five spots in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Fiesta said it plans to have more than 150 locations open by the end of 2010, and 1,500 during the next five years.

IronPro, JLT

IronPro, the professional liability division of Ironshore Inc., has entered into a joint relationship with Jardine Lloyd Thompson Facilities Inc. (JLT) to offer lawyers professional liability insurance.

IronPro’s new lawyers professional liability program will be administered and underwritten by JLT Facilities on an admitted basis on behalf of Ironshore for law firms in selected states nationwide. The new partnership with JLT Facilities expands IronPro’s distribution and underwriting of law firms by targeting this segment.

IronPro’s program with JLT is structured for law firms ranging in size from one to 25 attorneys, and its broad definition of professional legal services includes notaries public and title insurance agent professionals.
