About this report: The economy and soft insurance market have continued to dampen results for many independent insurance agencies. But despite challenging conditions, some agencies have managed to grow their agency P/C premiums by astonishing percentages. This report highlights the privately-owned agencies and brokerages on Insurance Journal’s Top 100 Property Casualty Independent Agencies list that managed to beat the odds by growing their P/C premium volume faster than others, organically or through acquisition, or both.
In this report, IJ recognizes the Top 10 Fastest Growing Agencies from the 2010 Top 100 list as ranked by percentage growth in premium over the previous year, as well as the Top 25 Fastest Growing Agencies from years 2007 to 2009 as ranked by percentage growth in premium for the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined. To be included in the inaugural Top 25 Fastest Growing Agencies list, agencies must have submitted their data to IJ’s Top 100 survey for each of the years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
All information in this report has been garnered from voluntary online submissions from agencies and brokerages and best estimates based on other public information sources.
