CDI investigators arrested Martha Rodriquez of Riverside on charges of workers’ compensation fraud and perjury. Rodriquez, 37, also known as Graciela Castro, was booked into Riverside County Jail on a $5,000 felony warrant. The Riverside District Attorney’s Office, Workers’ Compensation Fraud Unit is prosecuting the case.
The CDI investigation revealed that in December 1998, Rodriquez alleged an injury to her lower back and left leg while working as a temporary employee for a temporary staffing firm.
According to investigators, Rodriquez made misrepresentations to her doctors by failing to disclose a prior workers’ comp claim for a prior injury to her lower back.
The investigators further allege that Rodriquez committed perjury in her deposition by denying any previous injury to her lower back.
