IIAH Virtual ‘U’ Launched at ‘I’ Day

May 27, 2002

The Independent Insurance Agents of Houston (IIAH) launched the IIAH Virtual University at its annual trade show, Houston Insurance Day. Under the approved delivery method, the IIAH Virtual University can offer fully Internet-delivered, accredited and self-paced continuing education courses to Texas licensed insurance agents. To achieve the approval for “classroom equivalency” course offering, IIAH partnered with 360Training, a provider of next-generation compliance and workforce web-based training solutions, to introduce a set of standards for knowledge delivery and management designed specifically for government- regulated educational programs. The standards simulate a classroom equivalent learning experience by enforcing highly interactive content, online proctoring, lesson mastery, immediate feedback and remediation features during self-paced sessions that are based on 360Training’s web-based training platform VU.360(TM). The IIAH Virtual University (http://iiah.360training.com) is accepting enrollments for the first featured course, Employment Law, which is approved for six hours of CE credit. IIAH online courses feature fully animated content with voice guided audio tracks, interactive testing, remediation and feedback. Future course titles will include topics in Agency Operations, Commercial Insurance Liability, New Employee, and Workers’ Compensation.
